MOTHER’S DAY WITH MARRIOTT

McCoy’s Oceanfront at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa will be hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet in the Grand Bahama Ballroom with seating times at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The buffet will feature dishes prepared with seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients, including:

A Seafood Display of Chilled Shrimp with a Bloody Mary Cocktail Sauce; Seared Tuna with Seaweed Salad; and Local Fish Ceviche.

Plated Entrees, featuring Meyer Lemon Ravioli with Spring Peas, Mint, and Brandy Cream; Baked Corvina with Artichoke and a Sundried Tomato Compote; and Grilled French Chicken with Leek and Garlic Cream.

A Chef’s Live Action Station that will serve up Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin with a Tart Cherry Demi; Grilled Striploin with Wild Mushroom Ragout and Horseradish Sauce; and a choice of Traditional, Chorizo or Vegetarian Eggs Benedict.

A Tempting Treats Station will satisfy dessert cravings with selections including Chocolate Pot De Crème; Strawberry Shortcake Shooters; Mini Key Lime Pie, and Fruit Tarts.

The brunch is $60 per adult and $20 for children 12 and under, with seating times at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

3800 Ocean, the resort’s signature restaurant boasting jaw-dropping ocean views, will deliver one of Palm Beach County’s most over-the-top Mother’s Day Brunch experiences. Conceived by Executive Chef Gustavo Calderon, the menu will include a raw bar featuring fresh seafood, sushi and ceviche; an impressive spread of cheese and charcuterie, antipasto, and soups and salads, like the Florida Panzanella Salad with heirloom tomatoes, garlic croutons, pickled cucumbers, roasted beets, red onions and pan-seared tuna; small plates of Short Rib Ravioli with wild mushroom ragout and shaved Grana Padano, and Lamb Noisettes with walnut chimichurri and truffle pea puree; a carving station with Herb Crusted New York Strip Loin and Ginger-Lemongrass Steamed Local Catch; and a variety of pastas and hot sides, including Paella Valenciana, Lasagna a la Bolognese, and Corn and Pepper Succotash. For dessert, diners can choose from an array of sweets, including Smores Verrines, Banana Hazelnut Cream Puffs, Key Lime Passion Fruit Bombes, and Peach Bellini Panna Cottas. Ice cream lovers can head to the Nitro Sundae Bar for a refreshing treat with all the fixings from sprinkles to crushed candy and Maraschino cherries. Mother’s Day Brunch will be served from 12:30 to 9 p.m. and is $85 per person.
