Palm Beach County Restaurants Join “The Shake Up” to End Childhood Hunger

Proceeds from entire month of March will support Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry

A number of generous Palm Beach County restaurants will offer specific cocktails throughout the month of March as part of “The Shake Up.” A percentage of each drink’s sale ($1-2) will be donated to No Kid Hungry as part of the annual Palm Beaches Taste of the Nation, which is scheduled for April 4, 2019 at The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The Shake Up’s two winning restaurant’s bartenders will be announced April 1. Winners will get to serve a specialty cocktail at the main event and show off their skills!

Participating restaurants for The Shake Up 2019 will include: Avocado Grill, Brick & Barrel, Brule Bistro, Dada, Eau Palm Beach, Four Seasons Resort, Grandview Public Market, Grato, PB Catch, Pistache, Salute Market, The Cooper, and The Regional.

Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation 2019 is one in a national series of tasting events featuring the country’s most celebrated and generous chefs, sommeliers and mixologists, united to ensure all children in America have access to the nutritious meals they need, every day. More than 50 of the area’s best chefs and mixologists unite to raise the critical funds needed to end childhood hunger. Guests mix and mingle with culinary tastemakers and sample scrumptious bite-size fare, artisan beer and desserts.

Co-Chef Chairs Lindsay Autry of The Regional Kitchen & Public House, Zach Bell of Addison Reserve Country Club, Clay Conley of Buccan, Julien Gremaud of Avocado Grill, and Tim Lipman of Coolinary Cafe along with Master Sommelier Virginia Philip of Virginia Philip Wine Spirits and Academy will join forces with Event Chairs Denise Mariani and Jennifer Martinez. Together, the team will host Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry on April 4, 2019 from 7-10 p.m.

“One in six children in America lives with hunger. Here in Florida, it’s one in five,” says Lindsay Autry. “I’m proud to partner with No Kid Hungry for a fun but serious evening about ending childhood hunger.”

This year’s main event will once again feature an exciting live auction with one-of-a-kind culinary lots such as a private dinner in your home for 12 guests and a “Bubbles & Brunch” for 25 people with six of Palm Beach’s favorite chefs. One lucky guest will win more than 100 bottles of wine ranging from $15 to $100 each. Kool 105.5’s Mo & Sally alongside WPTV’s Jay Cashmere will lead the spirited entertainment. Live music, a DJ, dancing, games, contests, and a silent auction further enhance the lively experience.

General admission for Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry is $150. VIP tickets are available for $250 and offer an array of benefits including one-hour early entry and access to a private lounge area with an exclusive tasting from the five chef co-chairs with premium wine and champagne, along with entry to the chefs’ private afterparty at The Regional featuring food by Shake Shack.
