Palm Beach County Restaurants Unite Throughout March with “The Shake Up” to End Childhood Hunger 

Proceeds from select cocktails will support Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry

More than a dozen generous Palm Beach County restaurants will participate in Taste of the Nation’s annual prelude campaign, “The Shake Up,” offering a special cocktail throughout March from which proceeds from sales will support the No Kid Hungry campaign. With each drink sold, the restaurants will donate $1- $2 from that sale to support the organization’s efforts to end childhood hunger. 

The Shake Up’s two winning restaurant’s bartenders will be announced April 6, just days before Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation takes place at The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Winners will receive the opportunity to serve their specialty cocktail and demonstrate their skill at the main event on April 16, 2020.

Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation 2020 is one in a national series of tasting events featuring the country’s most celebrated and generous chefs, sommeliers and mixologists, united to ensure all children in America have access to the nutritious meals they need, every day. More than 45 of the area’s best chefs and mixologists unite to raise the critical funds needed to end childhood hunger. Guests mix and mingle with culinary tastemakers and sample scrumptious bite-size fare, artisan beer and desserts.

Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation

Culinary Chairs Lindsay Autry of The Regional Kitchen & Public House, Zach Bell and Clay Conley of Buccan | imoto | Grato, Julien Gremaud of Avocado Grill, and Tim Lipman of Coolinary Cafe along with Master Sommelier Virginia Philip of Virginia Philip Wine Spirits and Academy will join forces with Event Chairs Cristyle Egitto and Jennifer Martinez. Together, the team will host Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry on April 16, from 7:00-9:30p.m.

“I’m so proud to be a part of this culinary community, who are so willing to come together to help battle childhood hunger- an affliction that impacts one in seven kids in America,” said Julien Gremaud, chef and owner of Avocado Grill. “The Shake Up is a great momentum builder for Taste of the Nation, as it helps kick off our fundraising goals while engaging the community and building awareness of the Share our Strength mission.”

This year’s main event will once again feature an exciting live auction with one-of-a-kind culinary lots such as a private dinner in your home for 12 guests and a “Bubbles & Brunch” for 25 people with six of Palm Beach’s favorite chefs. One lucky guest will win more than 100 bottles of wine ranging from $15 to $100 each. Kool 105.5’s Mo & Sally alongside WPTV’s Jay Cashmere will lead the spirited entertainment. Live music, a DJ, dancing, games, contests, and a silent auction further enhance the lively experience. One-hundred percent of proceed support the No Kid Hungry campaign’s work to end childhood hunger in Florida. Share our Strength is proud to partner with local organizations on No Kid Hungry Florida. Together, they are making sure every kid gets three meals a day.

General admission for Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry is $150. VIP tickets are available for $250 and offer an array of benefits including one-hour early entry and access to a private lounge area with an exclusive tasting from the culinary chairs, including premium wine and champagne..
