EAT PALM BEACH | COSTA
This week I had the pleasure of checking out the newest hotspot in Palm Beach, Costa. Located on the second floor of 150 Worth, Costa transports you to the Mediterranean coastline. Meant to provide a hint of ambiguity, the name opens itself to a blend of cuisines from French to Italian to Greek to Moroccan.
Headed up by Sascha Benneman, the restaurant features an effortlessly chic and sexy dining room with a full bar and raw bar, private dining space and al fresco patio seating. Teaming up with Chef David Valencia they have created a menu reflective of their travels with signature dishes like the Salt Baked Branzino and Roasted Chicken Tagine. Appetizers include Oysters, Tuna and Uni “Toast,” Kefte lamb meatballs, Calamari Fritta and Roasted Artichoke among others.
The presentation is beautiful with colorful plateware and serving dishes giving the table a warm and inviting feel. The food is bright, flavorful and inspired. Everything is made in house and desserts like Baklava and Brown Butter Honey Cake are served without a pastry chef in the kitchen.
Their craft cocktail menu leaves little to be desired with creations like the Watermelon Sandia made with vodka and fresh lime juice and garnished with yellow bell pepper and Acqua Giardini featuring a blend of greens, him and chickpea water.
Costa is open for dinner with lunch on the horizon. Happy Hour is in full swing from 3-7pm with half-off specials. The private dining space accommodates up to 45 people.
