GRATO TO GRATEFULLY OFFER LUNCH SERVICE

Lunch Hours Begin Monday, August 8

Grato, the new Italian eatery by Chef Clay Conley and partners, will soon be expanding its hours to include daily lunch service. Starting August 8, daytime diners will be able to indulge in some of the same handmade pastas and brick oven pizzas that made Grato an instant hit since opening earlier this year. Lunch service will run Monday through Saturday, from 11:30AM to 2:30PM. Sundays will continue to open at 11:00AM and feature exclusive brunch items in addition to lunch choices.

While some dinner dishes will have their place on the lunch menu, weekday offerings will also feature entrée salads such as the Confit Tuna ($16) with Romano beans, shaved fennel, potato, olives and red wine vinaigrette and the Summer Panzanella ($14) with rotisserie chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes and garlic croutons, along with sandwiches such as the Porchetta ($13) with Italian ham, mustard, pickles, and caciocavallo cheese and the Meatball ($12) with mozzarella and pesto. Varying handmade pastas, like the Gemeli ($15.50) with rock shrimp, prosciutto, artichoke and tomato, will regularly be unveiled for daytime guests.

“We really want to serve our local community, and offering lunch service is a natural evolution of a neighborhood restaurant,” said Conley.

During lunch hours, guests can also enjoy favorites from Grato’s dinner menu including the Heirloom Tomato Salad ($12) with herbed ricotta, basil and focaccia toasts, as well as brick-oven pizzas including the Greek ($19) with feta cream, Calabrese salami, romaine, kalamata olives and pepperoncini or the Mushroom ($20) with asparagus, roasted tomatoes and fontina. Pastas such as the Bucatini Carbonara ($14) with bacon, ham, English peas and egg, the Spaghetti Nero ($24) with lobster, chilies and “coral” crumbs and the Paccheri ($13.5) with “Sunday gravy” meat sauce and ricotta will also be available in lunch-sized portions.

A catering menu with group-sized offerings of pastas and salads will soon be available as well.

Beginning August 8, Grato will be open for

Sunday Brunch begins at 11:00AM.
