AVOCADO GRILL IS SHAKING THINGS UP FOR CHARITY
Watermelon Cucumber Martini Available During Month of March With Proceeds Benefitting No Kid Hungry
Avocado Grill mixologists have been hard at work creating the perfect cocktail for the upcoming Shake Up for No Kid Hungry competition leading up to the Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation® event. They’ve found that in their newly created Watermelon Cucumber Martini. Throughout the entire month of March the restaurant will feature the delicious, hand-crafted, martini for just $14 each with proceeds benefitting the nonprofit organization No Kid Hungry, which works to ensure no child is ever without food.
In addition to the portion of proceeds from every Avocado Grill watermelon cucumber martini purchased going directly to the cause, Avocado Grill will join the dozens of other restaurants across Palm Beach County vying for the opportunity to have their mixologists pouring during the 2016 Taste of the Nation event. Winners are selected based on the number of drinks sold during the month and the most money raised.
Throughout the entire month of March, Avocado Grill will be sharing updates on their restaurant’s progress to help raise awareness, increase funds and fuel the competition. Watch for the hashtag, #ShakeUp4NKH and #AvocadoGrillShakesItUp and follow along to see the progress.
“We are excited to participate in this event,” said Chef Julien Gremaud, owner and executive chef of Avocado Grill. “Each dollar raised can feed a kid ten healthy meals. In a community such as ours, with an abundance of resources, there should never be a child who doesn’t know where their next meal will come from. I am happy to pitch in and help work towards a time that no child ever goes hungry.”
The two winning restaurants of the Shake Up For No Kid Hungry compeition will be announced on Monday, April 11, 2016.
Then, guests can prepare for the highly anticipated annual event that features the country’s best chefs, sommeliers and mixologists joining together with one goal in mind: ending childhood hunger in America. These dedicated culinary professionals lend their time and talents to the Palm Beach’s Taste of the Nation® for No Kid Hungry event.
Chef Gremaud of Avocado Grill is excited to be asked back to participate again this year. In addition to Avocado Grill’s participation in the main event, Chef Gremaud has been invited to serve as a participant in the largest auction item of the event – the Grand Backyard BBQ Experience – a private chef’s dinner and pig roast for 15-25 people prepared by Chef’s Julien Gremaud, Aaron Black, James Strine, Eric Baker and Rick Mace. The dinner, which includes an array of starters, sides, and desserts prepared by the award winning chefs, will also include craft brews and will be prepared in the winner’s back yard.
General admission tickets for Taste of the Nation® for No Kid Hungry are $125 per person. VIP admission with early entry to the event is $200 a ticket.
Avocado Grill’s special No Kid Hungry Watermelon Cucumber Martini will be available March 1 – 31 during restaurant hours and is $14.
