Buccan to Host Annual ‘No Kid Hungry’ Dinner November 5

Top toques join forces to help end childhood hunger

Some of Florida’s and beyond most celebrated chefs will come together at Buccan on Sunday, November 6 for Palm Beach’s No Kid Hungry Dinner. The sixth annual dinner features renowned chefs coming together for a cause: making sure all children in this country get the healthy food they need, every day. Proceeds from the event benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry’s work to end childhood hunger in America.

Chef Clay Conley of Buccan will host guest chefs Dale Talde of Talde (Brooklyn, NY), Aaron Brooks of EDGE Steak & Bar (Miami, FL), Lindsay Autry of The Regional (West Palm Beach. FL), Pastry Chef Janderyn Madirs of Earth & Sugar (West Palm Beach, FL) and Master Sommelier Virginia Philip of the Virginia Philip Wine Shop & Academy (West Palm Beach, FL), to serve guests a memorable five-course dinner and wine pairing in support of No Kid Hungry.

The seated dinner will be preceded by a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception, and will also feature a live auction led by “The Culinary MC,” Billy Harris in which guests can bid on a variety of luxury culinary and travel experiences.

Time: Cocktail reception begins at 6:00 pm, dinner is served at 7:00 pm

Admission: Individual tickets are $500, tables are also available

“No child in Palm Beach County, let alone America, should struggle with hunger,” said Conley. “The No Kid Hungry campaign has made great progress in addressing this issue at both a local and national level, providing meals to kids at school and during the summer, and teaching families skills they need to ensure healthy meals are achievable at home.”

Last year’s No Kid Hungry Dinner at Buccan raised more than $220,000 which helped connect kids with more than 2.2 million meals.

One in six children in this country struggles with hunger, including more than one in four kids in Florida.
