ROCCO MANGEL AND ROCCO’S TACOS & TEQUILA BAR RAISE FUNDS FOR THE SOUTH FLORIDA MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY THIS FEBRUARY

Walk with Team Rocco on Sunday, February 26 in West Palm Beach

Rocco Mangel and Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar are joning forces with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society South Florida Chapter to raise awarness and money to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

MS affects the brain and spinal cord causing disruption to brain-to-body communication. The disease’s symptoms can include vision loss, pain, fatigue and poor coordination. Although incurable, many people with MS can live virtually symptom-free with a combination of physical therapy and medications.

Rocco, a prodigious philanthropist and founding partner of Rocco’s Tacos, was diagnosed with MS in 2016 after he experienced a temporary paralysis of one side of his body. Since then, Rocco has been fortunate enough to visit the best doctors in the US and is on a strict diet and medication regiment that is expected to stop the disease’s progression. However, many people afflicted with MS that are not as fortunate.

“Coming to terms with my diagnosis wasn’t easy,” said Mangel. “From my research I realized that MS is often a misunderstood disease—people need help understanding what they are up against. As a person living with MS, I want newly diagnosed people to realize they have power over MS and assist them in finding the resources they need to proactively manage their disease.”

Throughout February, to raise funds for MS research and recovery, Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar Florida locations will be donating a percentage Taco & Tequila Tuesdays’ sales to the National Multiple Sclorosis Society South Florida Chapter. When Rocco is on the bar, he will personally collect donations and pour complimentary tequila as a thank you. Supporters donating $25 will receive a bottle of Dobel Diamante 375ml, and those who donate $50 or more will take home a bottle of Maestro Dobel Silver 750ml. Follow Rocco on his Facebook Fan Page to find out where he’ll be next, www.Facebook.com/RoccosTacos.

Rocco’s Taco & Tequila Tuesdays offers guests an all-you-can-eat taco experience ($15.99 per person) including Rocco’s signature chicken, pork, steak, beef, mushroom, shrimp or mahi tacos, outfitted with all the fixings. The special is available every Tuesday from open to close and drinks specials start at 7pm including $5 Maestro Dobel margaritas and $15 pitchers, and $3 Mexican beers.

On Sunday, February 26, Rocco will be speaking at the West Palm Beach MS Walk. Rocco will also host Team Rocco, alongside Maral Bardakjian, a 42-year-old mother of three who has been fighting MS since 2007. To donate to Team Rocco or join him at the Walk visit: www.RoccosTacos.com/MS.
