EAT PALM BEACH | BOLAY

I popped into Bolay this week for lunch and am now impatiently awaiting their PBG arrival!

Before I even dive into the food, I have to comment on their hand washing station in the line. I am in love with this concept. I am notorious for running to the restroom to wash my hands before sitting down at a restaurant so this was such a welcomed surprise (like when they bring hot towels to the table before a meal – yesss).

Bolay is essentially fast food for the health-conscious. You start off by picking what size Bol you’d like (Small or Large) and then start building via assembly line. For a base you have the option of a cold foundation like Peruvian quinoa, cilantro noodles or baby spinach or a warm option like basmati rice or forbidden black rice. Next you add on some veggies like balsamic mushrooms, maple roasted butternut squash or smokey cauliflower. Then you finish off with a protein like lemon chicken, pork tenderloin, sesame tofu, or ahi tuna if you’re feeling fancy. You can also top off with some finishing touches like minted tomatoes, goat cheese crumbles, parmesan cheese or an Asian herb mix.

This place is heavenly for those who eat a restrictive diet. They have an array of options that are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc including desserts. They also offer cold pressed juices, infused teas, local craft beers and wine.

I decided to build a Small Bol with forbidden black rice, paleo brussels sprouts and BBQ chicken. I also grabbed a glass of the hibiscus raspberry tea. First off, everything was delicious – and I am all about healthy food that tastes good. What’s also awesome is that it was so filling and to that perfect level of being totally satisfied but not overfull.

I’ve heard a PBG location is in the works and I can’t wait. I am so excited to have a quick and healthy option that I can mix up and have zero guilt over. They also offer kid-sized bowls which I think is great as a way to get kids eating clean early.

If you haven’t been to Bolay yet, go! You can eat in or take it to go. The people who work there are so nice and accommodating and the food is delicious.
