What is your culinary background?

I’ve been in the restaurant business for about 15 years and attended The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for culinary arts. I’ve worked in various high-end resorts and various restaurants throughout South Florida.

What is your favorite item on the menu?

My favorite item, on the menu, would have to be the grilled pork chop with Southern Comfort apple glaze. It has so many flavor undertones that every taste bud is satisfied with a mixture of savory and sweet.

What is your current food / drink crush?

My current food obsession would have to be anything Asian, especially some good fresh sushi. As for a drink, nothing beats a great hand- crafted Long Island iced tea!

Any advice for local aspiring chefs?

Keep putting forth 100% effort and always take the opportunity to learn from everyone. Don’t be afraid to try new things and to take some risks. Remember, that in the end, it’s only food and food is meant to be enjoyable.
