EAT PALM BEACH | PUMPHO– USE COFFEE
Pumphouse Coffee Roasters is the new kid in town on the Palm Beach County coffee scene. I first bumped into them at the Ocean Warrior Challenge at Carlin Park. They were serving up their cold brew “Dawn Patrol” which was a welcomed pick me up given the early morning hour.
The company was opened up by brothers Alex and Christian, who are super nice local guys. They clearly have a passion for coffee and are focused on doing things right with an emphasis on quality and keeping to a very high standard.
Their coffee lounge in Jupiter is awesome and very opposite your typical hipster or Seattle spot with bright blue walls and a beachy vibe. Named for the pumphouse off Singer Island, where they spent time back in the day and learned to surf, there are personal touches throughout the business.
The coffee itself is delicious. I normally go for some cream and sugar but managed to grab a bottle of Dawn Patrol and go which is semi-unheard of. Their attention to detail from the coffee beans to grinding time to equipment definitely shows.
If you are a frequenter of the West Palm Beach Green Market, make sure to check them out Saturday mornings. Pumphouse Coffee can also be found at Amici Market, Celi’s Produce and Coolinary Cafe (like I needed another reason to hit Tim Lipman’s joint).
